How often should I refresh balayage?
Most balayage clients visit every 8–16 weeks depending on their desired brightness and maintenance routine.

Where is Canvas Hair Studio located?
Canvas Hair Studio is located in DeKalb, Illinois and serves clients from Sycamore, NIU, and surrounding northern Illinois communities. We are in between The Grove Tavern & State Farm, in the Agora Tower.
How can I book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked online through our booking system or by contacting the salon directly.
Do you accept new clients or walk-ins?
Yes. We welcome both new clients and walk-ins when availability allows. For major color changes, extensions, or corrective services, we recommend booking a consultation or appointment to ensure we have enough time reserved for you.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We understand that schedules can change, and we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for any appointment adjustments or cancellations. A card on file is required to reserve all appointments, including haircut, color, smoothing, spray tan, and hair extension services. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time, as well as no-shows, will be charged 50% of the scheduled service total. We appreciate your understanding, as this allows us to respect both our guests’ time and our stylists’ schedules.
Card on File Policy
We do not require a deposit to book an appointment. A card on file is required to secure all appointments at Canvas Hair Studio. Your card will only be charged if a cancellation or no-show occurs in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Children & Guests Policy
We want every guest to enjoy a calm, comfortable experience at Canvas Hair Studio. We kindly ask that only those receiving scheduled services attend appointments when possible. If you need to bring your child or a guest, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
